Utah ski country has great weather! Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy low humidity, lots of sunshine (an average of 237 days a year), and an average high temperature of 36 degrees in January to 92 degrees in July.

Snowfall at many of the Utah ski resorts is measured in feet, not inches. Because of Salt Lake City’s favorable geography, Utah's snow is unusually dry and is considered by many skiers to be the world's greatest powder snow.

Weather Report

The "Greatest Snow on Earth," falls on seven world-class resorts located 40 minutes from Salt Lake City, along the Wasatch Front, part of the American Rockies. Utah's mountains receive more than 500 inches (that's 40-plus feet!) of light, dry snow each year, and skiers regard Utah’s ski resorts as some of the best in the United States.

Salt Lake City is a convenient ski destination no matter where you live. Catch an early flight from the east or west coasts, and you can be on the lifts by noon! And there’s something for everyone! Utah skiing has it all: from gentle beginner runs, to perfectly groomed slopes, to gnarly chutes in pristine, remote canyons.
