Last Saturday, lady shredders all over the world gathered together at their local ski resorts to represent the women skiers of the world. Every year the K2 Ski Alliance puts on International Women’s Ski Day so that the world can see just how rad it is to ski like a girl.
Nothing ruins a perfect day of skiing like cold, achy, feet. Every skier has been through this before. It is a beautiful powder day, and you want nothing more than to stay on the mountain all day, but you can’t feel your toes anymore and you are starting to worry if they are actually still there.
We have been expecting to hear news from Vail for quite some time now concerning the changes that will occur due to their recent aquisition of Park City Mountain Resort. This week, Vail announced their plans to combine PCMR and Canyons to make the biggest resort in the United States!
You’ve seen it on license plates, you’ve heard it from your friends, everyone talks about how Utah has the greatest snow on Earth. Utah is home to some of the most dry, fluffy, deep powder that you can find. It is one of the best parts about skiing here! However, because the snow in Utah is different from the snow anywhere else, the gear we use is different.
In honor of the Powder Awards that took place last weekend, we thought we would reflect back on some of our favorite ski films this last fall. Ski premiere season is our second favorite time of year, after the actual ski season of course. Nothing gets you more stoked for skiing than going to a premiere with your friends and a bunch of strangers that are just excited about getting back to the slopes as you are.
