2015 Grand Prix Park City

The Grand Prix Snowboarding and Freestyle Skiing competition went down last weekend here in Park City. Athletes from around the globe gathered to compete in Slopestyle and Halfpipe. These amazing athletes are always pushing the limits of snowboarding and skiing as they pull out bigger and better tricks each year. Last weekend’s competition was no exception.

In the 2015 Grand Prix we got to see two Park City locals dominate in the freeskiing slopestyle competition. Joss Christensen, Sochi Olympic Gold Medalist, took 1st place after scoring a 92 on his last run. Followed by his friend, Mcrae Williams, who took 2nd place with a personal best score of 90.

Great things are bound to happen on Park City’s world renowned halfpipe. And this year, Gus Kenworthy, Sochi Silver Medalist, stepped up the game when he threw down what people are saying is one of the best halfpipe runs ever in freeskiing. With a score of 95.6, Kenworthy won the 2015 Grand Prix Park City Freeskiing Half Pipe competition.
