Our biggest sale of the year is right around the corner, and its bigger and better than ever. With plenty of inventory and with Solitude coming down to sell season passes, its sure to be a great time. With that being said, we wanted to walk you through some of our favorite tips and tricks to help you stay organized and have a successful shopping trip.
Ski-A-Rama will officially kick off on August 27th at noon at our Sandy Ski’N See location. There will be up to 70% off deals and more inventory than ever, plus you can shop online this year. We have extended our sale dates this year, and it will officially wrap up on September 13th.
Here are our five top tips and tricks for shopping the Ski-A-Rama sale:
Tip 1: Inventory check: Before you head over to the sale, make sure to look over your last season’s equipment and clothing. Doing this task can help you reevaluate what needs to be replaced and what items can last you another season. Make sure to have your kids try on their gear, too, as kids are always growing and might have outgrown their last season materials. Here is a list of items you should make sure to check:
- Jackets
- Pants
- Layering pieces
- Gloves
- Helmet/Goggles
- Boots
- Socks
- Skis/poles
- Snowboard/Bindings
Tip 2: Make a list of what you need: After going through your equipment, make sure to write down on a sheet of paper or in the note section of your phone everything that you need to snag at the sale. This will help you and your family stay organized and focus on the things you need from the sale. The sale can become a little overwhelming with the amount of inventory and people in the sale, so having a list is sure to help you not forget anything when it gets busy.
Pro tip: Don’t forget to put the sizes on the list so that you have a starting point when looking at new items.
Tip 3: Do research: Before making a large purchase on skis or a snowboard, we recommend doing a little digging beforehand. Our hard goods specialists are here to lend you a helping hand when it comes to finding the perfect equipment for your lifestyle, but it’s up to you to figure out what type of riding you want to experience this winter. If you don’t know where to start or are feeling overwhelmed, no pressure, our employees are experts and will make sure to find the best fit for you guaranteed.
Tip 4: Wear a mask and read our COVID safety procedures: This year, we have upped our game and have gone to great lengths to protect our community during the sale. This year you will see that we have ordered a much larger tent to help practice social distancing at a ski length distance. You will also see that we have expanded our sale dates to spread out customers, masks will be mandatory, the boot-fitting area has been expanded, and there will be plenty of hand sanitization stations.
Tip 5: Enter the Raffle: This year, if you enter the giveaway before August 26th 2020, you could have the chance to give a $50 gift card to shop with during the sale. We will be gifting 50 of these $50 gift cards on 08/26 to be used on a $125 or more purchase.
