Utah Ski Resorts Update

Utah ski resort updates are rolling in daily, and this post is dedicated to giving you the latest news in the ski world, specifically about opening day and parking. The snow season is a staggering 16 days away, November 20th, for Park City and Solitude, with the other resorts opening shortly after. Keep scrolling to look at a few covid winter announcements from resorts in Utah. 

Alta:

Opening day: November 21st

Parking: Alta will have a maximum capacity limit this year on the mountain. They will be updating this page throughout the day with parking availability and road statuses. We recommend bookmarking this page to look at when you wake up and before to leave to head up to the mountain for a ski day. 

Deer Valley:

Opening day: December 5th

Parking: Deer Valley does not have a parking policy set in place; however, they will be monitoring lift ticket sales for their limited capacity. To ensure that you can access the mountain on the days you would like, make a reservation far in advance. Additionally, Deer Valley season pass holders and Ikon pass holders will not have to make a reservation. Here is more information on Deer Valley’s plans for the 20/21 season. 

Park City:

Opening day: November 20th

Parking: Park City does not have a parking procedure in place; however, they will have their resort at limited capacity. Online reservations will open on November 6th. Snowbasin:

Opening day: November 25th

Parking: Snowbasin will have a limited capacity this season and reservations for daily guests. Season pass holders will not be asked to make a reservation. For updates, make sure to check their website here and follow them on social media. 

Snowbird:

Opening day: November 30th 

Parking: Snowbird has implemented a new parking system and allows you to reserve a parking spot online. As a step in their operation, stay safe campaign, they want to know when you’re coming up to the resort to keep an accurate number of winter enthusiasts on the mountain to keep you safe. You can start booking your parking reservations on Nov.9th at 9 am MST. Click here to see more of Snowbird’s parking plan for 2020. 

Solitude: 

Opening day: November 20th

Parking: Solitude has updated its parking policies and now offers touchless ways to pay for parking. Additionally, all Ikon Pass holders, Solitude season pass holders, and Solitude Ticket Pak holders will be able to walk directly to the chairlift as usual. Lift tickets must be purchased in advance as same-day lift tickets will not be available on site. For more information, check out their website here.
