August marks the wrapping up of summer. Now is the time to squeeze in those last few barbecues, days at the lake, and outdoor concerts. And nothing says “summer” more than loading your crew up in the car, hitting the road, and visiting…a ski and snowboard sale?
That’s right! While it may not be the first thing that comes to mind when brainstorming end-of-summer activities, Ski ‘N See’s annual sale is an event you don’t want to miss. With deals that basically border on steals, you’ll find some great gear that’s sure to end your summer on a high note. From base layers to balaclavas, we’ve got you covered!
What to Expect
Since 1994, Ski ‘N See has hosted the Ski-A-Rama tent sale to give customers access to top notch gear at incredible prices. We set up a giant tent outside our Sandy store, stock it full of clothing and equipment, and then stand by ready to help. We even have official representatives from popular brands (such as Dakine, Scott, Blackstrap, Spyder, and more) present on our opening night, giving you the chance to talk to additional industry experts about the gear you’re perusing.
You’ll find amazing discounts on last season’s skis, snowboards, boots, apparel, and accessories. 25/26 Season goods are also available for purchase. Essentially, you can plan on great deals, expert tips on ski gear, and an awesome time. Did we mention there will also be free SWAG? Hats, shirts, socks, beanies- we’ve got it all (available while supplies last).
When to Go
Ski-A-Rama starts at 2:00 pm on Thursday, Aug. 21st. This is one of the best days to attend, as we offer exclusive opening-day deals. These include:
- Taking an extra $50 off any demo ski or board over $299. (As if the prices weren’t already great enough!)
- A free Dakine Youth Boot Pack ($80 value) with the purchase of any 25/26 Season Jr. Ski or Snowboard Package (while supplies last).
- Thermic heated socks, which retail for $350, being offered for $150.
- A free Sundance Resort S-Card for the first 500 customers who spend $350 or more. The S-Card includes one day of skiing ($119 value) and unlimited direct-to-lift access all season long at a discounted rate. Open to Salt Lake & Summit County residents.
- Special SWAG (such as Smartwool socks and beanies) that will only be available opening day. Because who doesn’t like free stuff?

Where to Find Us
The tent sale takes place outside our Sandy store, located at 772 East 9400 South. Look for the large white tent, ski gear signage, and good vibes. The sale extends to inside the store as well!
If indoor shopping is more your thing, the Ski-A-Rama deals will also be available at our Fort Union and Bountiful locations. Both of these stores will open on Friday, Aug. 22nd and hours are Fri, Sat, & Mon from 10:00 am – 6:00pm.
