Comments: Gooooood morning Snowbird! It’s Owen, with your snow report for Closing Day.Here we are on the final day of the 2025/26 winter season, it’s bittersweet. Certainly not the season of all time, but a season for sure. 305 inches this year - not quite a standout performance by Mother Nature, but hey, all we can do is take what she gives us and roll with the punches. And man, we really had to slip, weave and roll with the punches this year. This mountain will challenge you, and it certainly did this season. Nonetheless, I still had a blast this winter, skiing, writing these reports and meeting all of you out on the mountain. Even with the lack of snow, there were still a few absolute banger days this year, so don’t let the season as a whole tarnish the memories of those days. To me, it makes them more special. I did my best to bring the stoke and a touch of humor, but still keep it real in these reports, and I hope, at the very least, you could appreciate that (even if there were parts that some may not have liked). Anyways, you probably didn’t come here to read my ramblings, so here’s the actual conditions report for our final day:That beautiful sunny weather we’ve had will continue into today as there’ll be clear skies and a high of around 65°. It’ll be t-shirt and shorts weather for sure, but seriously, remember that sunscreen. Conditions are surfy where there’s still snow left, but Surf Season has officially hit low tide. Due to this, there will be NO EASY SKIING left this weekend as many trails have lost coverage to snow melt. Not all trails are continuous and some walking may be required. Advanced and experts only are advised, so if that doesn’t sound like your jam, no need to end the season in a patrol sled - that would not be sick. Taking the Tram down is a good alternative if need be, and if you aren’t feeling that either, not to worry, come hang on the Plaza Deck and enjoy some live music instead! We’ve got Xavier Hay & The Beehive Boys playing at Plazapalooza today from 12-3 pm. Expect good vibes, good company and swag giveaways. In return, I’m expecting some solid closing weekend fits, so don’t disappoint, or I’m giving swag to someone else.Oh and to all the moms, we didn’t forget about you! Happy Mother’s Day (and early birthday to my mom!) Come celebrate with us at our Mother’s Day Bunch at The Aerie. A few spots are left and reservations are required. Click the link to learn more.Scenic Tram rides will remain open 8 am to 1:30 pm through this weekend. Starting Monday, the Tram will be closed for maintenance.ALL uphill travel is closed and will remain closed after Sunday to allow snowcats and other vehicles to move around the moutain during our end of season teardown process. I know you might be itching for some uphill, but please don't get in the way of one of those things, you would most definitely have a bad time. It’s been fun, but the tide at Surf Season has gone out. And for one last time this season, that’s the snow report - if you didn’t like it, too bad.- Owen #GMTB

Comments: That’s a wrap! Solitude is now closed for winter operations. We had a blast floating through fluff, skimming the pond, and playing in the snow with you all. Thank you for a wonderful season of crisp corduroy, bluebird skies, powder days, spring slush, and lots of smiles. Stay tuned to Solitude’s social media for announcements about summer. Flowy bike trails and scenic hikes are just around the corner. Join us Friday, May 22, for the opening of Solitude Bike Park and the start of summer operations, conditions permitting. See you soon!
