The Fuller Center<\/a> is a faith-driven organization that supports collaborative and innovative partnerships to provide housing worldwide for all people in need. The United Nations estimates that more than one billion people in the world live in inadequate housing, with millions in the United States. With that information, we wanted to take on a hands-on project to help the homeless in Utah County for our day of service. We had the pleasure of working on two homes in our backyard here on the Wasatch front, in Spanish Fork and Provo. <\/p>\n\n\n\nOur leadership team divided and conquered last Tuesday, working on renovation projects to help our neighbors with their lawns and landscaping. With many in our community unable to bare the Utah heat, we were happy to lend a hand and work together to create a sustainable living environment. During our day, we helped pull weeds, plant new flower beds, cleaned the patios, and refurbished a gardening shed. Overall there was a significant physical change of the properties, and intangibly, there was team bonding, problem-solving, camaraderie, and of course, social distancing involved on our day of service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Owner Roy Ostendor says “We are grateful to be able to contribute and bring joy to families in our community. The process of giving back not only brings happiness to others, and puts life’s challenges into proper perspective. The experience was both humbling and rewarding for the Ski N See Family.” <\/p>\n\n\n\nWe are thankful for the opportunity to serve our city and are already looking forward to next year’s day of service.
